 soul band da Philadelphia, città che rappresentano e che li cresce musicalmente fin dai 60's, quando si chiamavano The Fashions, quindi con la formazione originale a sette elementi ( Frankie Brunson, cantante e compositore principale del gruppo, David Thompson, batterista e produttore e:Darnell Jordan, Johnnie Hightower, Stanley Thomas, Valerie Brown, Marc Reed) firmano per la mitica: Phil L.A. Of Soul, label degli emergenti Cliff Nobles & Co., Fatastic Johnny C, Brenda & the Tabulation, per cui pubblicano una serie di singoli spettacolari, i brani consigliati, di questo periodo che discograficamente  arriva al 1972, sono: I Likes To Do It / Big Ladies Man, 1971, Magic / Oh How I Love It, Let Me Do My Thin, The Wootie-T-Woo / Cause That's The Way I Know, tutti del 1972.

Björn J:son Lindh

 compositore, arragiatore, pianista e flautista svedese, in ambito jzz\rock e prog milita in parecchie formazini, tra cui gli Ablution, da solista non si discosta da questa influenze. Artista molto prolifico con decine di album pubblicati, tra i quali, ovviamente , prenderemo in considerazine solo quelli dei 70's. Da Ramadan, del 1971 su Metronome, consiglio: Lastbrygga, mentre da Sissel, sempre Metronome ma 1973, segnalo: Bull dog e la title track. Da Bike voyage II del 1978 su Sonet, consiglio: A day at the surface, mentre, da: Vata Vingar del 1980 ( Sonet): In I Dimman. Chiudiamo con Musik del 1981, ancora su Sonet, che contiene: Ur Pumpen, Flikten, Änglarna Har Landat.

 soul\Disco singer, che con la collaborazione del compositore Ian Levine piazza un paio di hit, ovvero: Twenty Four Hours A Day nel 1976 ( la versione 12" stampa USA  del 1977 esce con due diverse label ) e: You Are The Music Within Me,  1977,sempre meglio su 12", tutto per la United Artists.

Ojeda Penn

 tastierista e compositore che si barcamena tra jazz\fusion e Disco, per il periodo di interessa dell'alfabeto, risulta solo l'album del 1980: Happiness, IFE records, proda cui consiglio la top track: Brotherson, ma anche Theme from Becky, produzione di Jimmy Jackson.

Jay Mitchell

 Junka\soul e funk singer dalle Bahamas, debutto discografico  nel 1972 con un raro EP per la Grand Bahamas records: Deep heat, che contiene una gran cover di Mustang Sally e: Tighter & Tighter, quindi giunge alla corte di Frank Penn, idolo locale e proprietario di etichette discografiche, oltre che musicista e compositore, è sua infatti: Goombay Bump, che esce su 7" nel 1974 su Penn's e, in seguito, sull'album: Your mama & your daddy again, che contiene anche: Rip Off Brother, il tutto per un'altra label di Penn, la: G.B.I. recording co. LTD., stessa label che gli pubblica, nel 1975: Impartiality, che contiene: Funky fever, che ritroviamo anche  su: Another Place And Time, per la Elite records LTD, che contiene anche: Yellow Bird (Disco), All Kapuncle Up (Instru.) e: The World Keep Turning Round. Chiudo con l'album del 1981: Jay Mitchell & Hot Ice - The Messenger, edito per Bush Fire records - Bahamas, da cui consiglio: I love those days, Gatta Get To The Top, Tribute to Ssir Milo.

 entertainer e compositore dalle Bahamas, fondatore delle etichette: Penn Records, G.B.I. Recording Co. Ltd. and Penn's., per quest'ultima incide: Frank Penn '72, appunto del 1972, che contiene i successo commercile di: I am what I am e la funkeggiante: Goombay Jump ( reincisa nel 1974 da Jay Mitchell, sempre per la Penn's), brano che ricompare nel 1973 su: Frank Penn And With The Esquires Ltd. – At Independence, dove troviamo anche: gimme'some skin e la cover di Theme from Shaft. Il resto della sua discografia, precedente o successiva ai dischi citati, è un misto di Calypso, reggae e pop bahamense.

 jazz\fusion band inglese, con un solo album all'attivo, LP omonimo, stampato privatamente su una etichetta creata da Rick Kemp, appunto la Kemp / Pegrum Music Ltd., dopo aver visto suonare la band in club di Manchester nel 1976, brani consigliati: City Slickers e: Stop the music.
