soul singer dall'Alabama, mito del northern soul con una serie di singoli 7" durante i 60's, tra questi, il più inerente a questa pagina è sicuramente: That'll Get It, su Injection, 1968 stampa olandese, mentre l'americana del 1969 è su Moonshot. Dopodichè il silenzio, per circa otto anni, quando riappare sono subentrate nella sua musica sonorità afro beat\funk, con un album che esce prima con l'alias: Mfalme, titolo: Let your soul fly, su Asante, stessa label e stesso anno, 1976, per: The soul thing, a nome Jimmy Raye. I brani sono gli stessi anche se cambia l'ordine, quindi da entrambi consiglio: Naku penda, the Soul thing, Danser et chanter. Love caravan, singolo del 1979 su CRC, anticipa l'album: the Lover, 1980, che contiene anche Lover's song. Chiudo con il singolo 7": Stand up America, su WMJR Productions, inciso con i Revelations.
