Nel giro di un decennio pubblicarono nove album in etichette come WMOT Records, Fantasy, Virgin e Omni Records.
Larry James ha anche suonato con The Delfonics e Blue Magic e ha gestito, nelle vesti di manager, gli Slik.
Il gruppo si scioglie dopo la morte prematura del batterista nel 1987 all'età di 38 anni.
Il primo album: Feel it ( WMOT Records, 1976), contiene, oltre alla title track: Nighttime Boogie, Center city ( la versione 12") e: Music Maker.
Da: Off the wall, per la Stax ( 1977), i brani consigliati sono: Sparkle, Castle Of Joy e: In The Pocket.
Spacin' Out esce nel 1978 ( Fantasy WMOT Records), top tracks: Close Encounters Of A Funky Kind, Boogie Town e: Good Time (G-O-O-D T-I-M-E).
Continuando ad incidere un albulm all'anno, nel 1979 arriva: Lookin' For Love ( Fantasy), con il brano che titola l'album come pezzo forte, altra cosa interessante: Here come the sun. L'ultimo disco a rientrare nel range temporale di questa pagina è: Stand up, 1980 ( Fantasy) da cui consiglio: Play With Me, Party After Midnight e la title track.
