grande soul\blues singer, scoperto dal mega produttore Carl Davis che lo mette sotto contratto alla Dakar records, nel 1968 esce : Can I change my mind, che era stata registrata precedentemente negli studios di Ray Charles, ma mai pubblicata, un vero e proprio "soul classic" che da il titolo anche al primo album di Tyrone, composto prevalentemente di cover, come: Knock on wood e You Can't Keep A Good Man Down.
1970, ancora un singolo a dare il titolo ad un lp: Turn Back The Hands Of Time, che contiene anche:Love bones.
1972 ancora 7" e album dallo stesso titolo: Without You In My Life, consiglio anche: There it is, I Had It All The Time e If You Had A Change In Mind, nello stesso anno esce: I Had It All The Time , con il brano che titola l'album già apparso sul precedente lp, molte soul ballads per un disco molto soft.
1973: It's all in the game, brani consigliati: What Goes Up (Must Come Down) e I Wish It Was Me.
1974: Home Wrecker, la title track, this time e It Something You've Got, le top tracks.
A chiudere il periodo con la Dakar records, arriva nel 1975: Turning point, dove ripropone : Turn Back The Hands Of Time oltre a : I can't bump part.1&2 e come al solito la title track.
