Hanson

 funk rock band inglese ( anche se +rock che funk ) evidentemente influenzata dalla presenza di Jimi Hendrix in quel di Londra nei tardi 60's, soprattutto il chitarrista Junior  "Hanson" Marvin, coadiuvato da personaggi di spicco come Brother James, percussionista che ritroviamo con i Stomu Yamashta's Go, il vocalist e produttore: Mario "Big M" Medious, attivo con Clarence Wheeler, Maxayn e Funkadelic, band da cui proviene anche il tastierista Andrè Lewis, Alias: Mandrè  ( presente anche come arrangiatore nel secondo album ). Da questo mix di rock psych hendrixiano, loop funkadelici e rock blues, consiglio: Smokin' to the "Big M" e: Gospel truth, dall'album d'esordio: Now hear this, anno 1973, quindi: Magic Dragon e: Boys meets girl da: Magic Dragon del 1974, entrambi incisi per la Manticore, label di Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
