 grande soul singer e compositore di R&B, sia con gruppi come the Enchanters e the Gainors sia da solista per ben tre decenni, anche se l'unico album interessante per l'alfabeto è il funkeggiante: Has it all, Arista 1977, prodotto da Jeff Lane (Brass Construction, Funky people e Spider Webb), da cui segnalo: Tail snatcher, Street music, Johnny porter e la tiratissima: What it is, quest'ultima esce anche su 12" long version con i Truckin'Co. ( sempre Arista).
