Renaissance del 1973 per la Tamla è il primo senza Smokey Robinson ( anche se rimane nelle vesti di produttore), la voce che lo sostituisce è quella di Billy Griffin, anche se il sound rimane quello, forse un po' più corale, mentre si nota un cambiamento nei dischi successivi, con l'avvento di produttori e arrangiatori come Genne Page, Wade Marcus, Jack Ashford e altri, con una strizzatina d'occhio verso la dance. Seconda playlist decisamente più "funky".
