quartetto vocale da Oakland, Califotnia, formatisi nel 1966 dopo alcuni assestamenti alla formazione, arrivano ad incidere il loro primo album: Good Vibes, per la ABC, 1971, con la partecipazione di ottimi musicisti come: Marvin Holmes e Eugene Blacknell ( brani consigliati: Message From A Black Man e: Stepping On Up ). Dal 1972 avviene un cambiamento fondamentale, arriva la firma per per la Curtom di Curtis Mayfield, che li affida alle sapienti mani di Leroy Hutson, che produce, arrangia e firma quasi tutto il loro materiale nei successivi tre album. Da: Natural Four, del 1974, consiglio: This Is What's Happening Now, Things Will Be Better Tomorrow e Love's society, quindi, da: Heaven Right Here On Earth, 1975: Count on me, What's Happening Here, What do you do, infine, per concludere, da: Nightchaser, oltre alla title track consiglio: It's the music, sia vocale che strumentale, Nothing Beats A Failure (But A Try), quest'ultimo album è sicuramente il più grooveggiante e influenzato dalla Dance music.
